Family ties …Coconut palms are always closely related. Although over 1,300 species of coconut palm grow around the world, there are actually only two true “families”: The coconut palm from the Pacific region. And the coconut palm that grows around the Indian Ocean. So all species of coconut palm have their relatives either in the Pacific or the Indian Ocean. And the coconuts?
